Act 2
This part in the book reminds me of a movie i saw recently, Frozen. During this movie we have a princes of one town "fall in love with the prince in 5 minutes. In the end of this movie we see that the prince was just pretending to like the girl. This example could be just like Romeo and Juliet since they barley know each other.

Act V
Prompt A:Juliet is placed in a her familys tomb. While Paris is there guarding her when all of a sudden Romeo comes in with a poison in his pocket. They have a dual and Romeo remains victorious. Romeo drinks the poison and dies next to Juliet. Friar Lawrence comes right before Juliet wakes up and than leaves her there due to his selfishness. Than Juliet kills herself with a dagger. Later the montague, capulet, prince see all of them dead.
Prompt F: When Juliet wakes up and Friar Lawrence sees her why does he just get up and leave her when she needs him the most. I get that his reputation of a man of god would be ruined but that doesn't justify the cowardly action. Its his fault she is in this predicament in the first place. The fact that she trusted him and than he betrays her by leaving her is really rude. I thought that he should have stayed and own up to what he did and caused.

Prompt A: Today is the day of Juliet and Paris's wedding day. With Romeo gone and out of town she has no choice but to marry. When Juliet seems excited for the wedding her dad moves the wedding up. The Capulets are preparing for the wedding forgetting about the death of Tybalt. The nurse goes to try and wake up Juliet for her wedding day but however, Juliet does not wake. The Friar starts preparing for the funeral for Juliet knowing that this would happen.

Also how her family has been preparing for her wedding day for nothing. She lyes in peace as her parents think but soon she shall be with her lord.
Act 5
Too Many Deaths
Prompt B: In Act 5, everyone acts impulsively and rashly. For example, Romeo thinks that Juliet is dead and immediately jumps to killing himself. Juliet later does the same. Romeo also killed a man out of fear and hatred, he killed County Paris. This is like North Korea threatening to practice with nuclear weapons. It is rash and impulsive and they only did it so that they could make a statement. Romeo and Juliet are making a statement about love in this situation. They are showing that life isn't worth living without love.

Act 5 Scene 1-3:
Act 5 Scene 1-3: I love you to death.
Prompt B: In act 5 scene 1 when Romeo is desperately trying to get the poison to kill himself it reminded me of how a bunch of kids are now a days. When i was in 7th grade all i saw on Facebook were kids talking about how in love they were with their girlfriends or boyfriends even though they were going out for like a week. When they would break up they would always be putting up statuses about how they wanted to kill each other because they got their heart broken. They acted like they would never like any one ever. They really exaggerated and i feel like that's what Romeo is doing right know i feel like hes is being a little to dramatic. I honestly don't really like them because lets say Juliet did die its not like romeo wouldn't find some one else They are both so dramatic and they act like they had no other way out then "death".

Mine family? Anon that she is dead, thither is nay moo lay-to of living. She was the one that I would live on through mine days of exile f'r. I shall not let death doth us apart. Scene 5 Act 1-3
Scene 5 Act 1-3: the result
B:
In Scene 5 act 3 the two families realized the result of their hatred caused the death of Juliet and her Romeo. This reminds me of me and my friends always having disputes and won't talk to each other for a long time. Soon we realized that this is not going to work and we agreed that we will help each other no matter what. This eventually work out really well. Unlike the Capulets and Montagues we tried to settle out disagreement and it worked well.
G:
If I was Frair I would feel very bad about how I didn't personally deliver the message. I would be very nervous about what Romeo would do when he got the message of that Juliet's dead. I would also hope that I would be able to hide Juliet before Romeo comes and then he will come to me and they can live happily ever after. But when I gone to the grave and seeing Romeo dead, Paris dead, and Juliet waking up. I felt scared and did not know what to do so i tried to bring Juliet back to my lair, but she refused so I given up trying.

Act 5: 'Til Death Do Us Apart
Prompt G:
Romeo: "How could I have ever let this happen? Had it been my all fault for the death of my wife? All I ever wanted to do was to with Juliet, but nothing ever seems to go the way that I want it too. This pain inside me is too strong to bare. I cannot let Juliet go without me. I know what I must do."
Prompt A:
One of Romeo's servent comes to announce to Romeo that Juliet had killed herself. Romeo wants to die with Juliet, so he gets posion and goes to Juliet's tomb. Romeo never gets a letter from the Friar. Romeo finds Paris at Juliet's tomb and they start to fight. The fight ends with Paris's death. Romeo kisses "dead" Juliet and drinks his posion, but shortly after Juliet wakes up. She finds Romeo dead beside her and she kills herself legit this time. Both families find out the story of Romeo and Juliet and end their fued.
Act 5
PROMPT G
I chose the first/head watchman. The head watchman feels confused and somewhat fearful. In a time of superstition someone dying twice like Juliet could making him feel very scared of the supernatural. he fact that he is in a graveyard would also add to the fear. Confusion would also reign , because they are so many deaths, but so little explanations. The watchman may also have had a certain sense of pride , since he was helping to get to the bottom of a big mystery and/or rescuing. Another major emotion would have been sleepiness/exhaustion, since it was night time. Also the online play portrayed the watchman as having a double chin , which may have suggested a docile existence.
PROMPT A
The act begins , and Romeo discovers that Juliet has died. He then purchases poison and sets out to See Juliet in her grave. Friar Lawrence discovers that his letter has not reached Romeo , and sets out to die with Juliet. County Paris is grieving over Juliet, but Romeo doesn't notice him. They then fight, and Romeo kills County Paris. Because County Paris's dying wish was to be with Juliet, Romeo places County Paris with Juliet.Juliet then wakes up and kills herself. The watchmen come, and the heads of families arrive, and see what has happenedTuesday, May 13, 2014
Fake Deaths
Act 4 Scene 1-3
Prompt C:
Why is suicide Juliet's first thought?
Why is the Frair going to help even more?
Isn't the Frair scared of if everyone finds out?
Whats going to happen after she awakes and Romeo is there?
Is Romeo and Juliet going to actually run away together?
Prompt E:
I chose this picture to represent the potion given to Juliet by the Friar. This potion will make her stop breathing, no pulse, turn pale, and act dead for 24 full hours. At the strike of the 24th hour she will awake. The plan being with Romeo waiting by her side. For her to be with Romeo for the rest of her life without having to marry Paris. She can live a happy merrily life with her lord Romeo.

Act 5
Act 5
Lovers' Death
Prompt G: If I were in Romeo's situation in Act 5, I would be devastated: I'm so confused. How could Juliet have committed suicide?? It feels as if I have been stabbed in the chest. When I went to go visit her, and saw her lying there, my world collapsed. I had to drink the poison to be with her. With her dead, my world is over- I'm better off dead than living a life without my love.
Also, Juliet was probably horrified when she woke up: I could not believe my eyes. I was the cause of my poor, dear Romeo's death. Me. I killed him. If I hadn't have been so foolish, he would still be alive. I must kill myself to be with him again. It's the only way. How could this have happened?
Prompt F:
Romeo and Juliet's relationship is so strong. They are willing to go to the utmost absolutely usburd limits to test their love. Romeo kills himself when he sees his love Juliet, faking her death. When Juliet awakens, and sees what Romeo has done to himself as a result of her fake death, she is devastated. She too kills herself. These two kids want nothing more than to be with each other. The two's death resolved the problems between their families, the Capulets and Montagues. But they died yearning to be with each other and died with the love for each other in their hearts.

Act 5
Death cleans up shop in Verona
Prompt B:
With the murder scene at the Capulet Tomb, and the city guard coming rushing to investigate, I can relate to this scene, when there was what we learned after the event to be a false bomb threat at the Statue of Liberty. I remember seeing all the commotion and being evacuated to the boats to go back to the city. While we were at Ellis Island when the alarm went off, we were bombarded by questions from reporters back at the main harbor. My brother, grandparents and I all gave our alibis to the press, my brother's was later used in a broadcast from a local New York news station. While there was no tragedy, as in Romeo and Juliet, I still found the who, what, when, where, why's of the reporters quite relatable to the Friar having to tell the entire story behind Romeo, Juliet, and Paris' deaths
Prompt G:
If I were to step inside of Friar Laurence's shoes, I would feel very nervous, frustrated, and worried. Having learned that my message to Romeo did not go through, the decisions Romeo could make are very unpredictable, and are likely to jeopardize the entire plan. After finding Romeo, Paris, and now a freshly, officially dead Juliet in the Capulet tomb, I am very scared of looking like a criminal, being at the murder scene, with the watch guard approaching. Not to mention, after delivering my alibi to both families, I am quite ashamed of the Capulets and Montagues, as their stupid feud led to the death of Tybalt, Paris, Romeo, and Juliet.

Act 4 Scene 5 I like the quote Her blood is settled, and her joints are stiff. Life and these lips have long been separated. Death lies on her like an untimely frost. Upon the sweetest flower of all the field." I like this quote because it shows the moment when everything becomes sad. When everyone knows Juliet is dead.

Prompt F: Juliet seems to have trust issues about Friar, because she thought the potion she was gonna drink would turn out bad. After she continued to think about it, she knew that Friar was a good man and she could trust him. Even though the Friar could have gotten in trouble by all of this, he still supported Juliet and wanted to make things right. Through it all, he had faith in Juliet. He is a better father figure to Juliet than Lord Capulet will ever be.
Prompt C:
Friar: Why did you want to help out Juliet?
Lord Capulet: What was the point of this wedding?
Why doesn't anyone listen to what Juliet wants?
How come Juliet doesn't just run away at first instead of pretending to die?

Act IV scene iv-v: Love Don't Die
Prompt F
The Nurse and Juliet have very different opinions on Juliet's love life. This difference does not show really how they feel about each other. I believe the Nurse truly loves Juliet like her own daughter, and wants what is best for her. Juliet feels alone, and does not know how the Nurse really feels, and that she only wants what is best for Juliet. When the Nurse finds Juliet dead, I believe that the Nurse is heartbroken, because she cared for Juliet like a daughter. After all, the Nurse keeps repeating what a sad day it is, and cries with despair.
Prompt C
Why is Friar Lawrence in a "cell"?
Why is Juliet referred to as "deflowered"?
Why does the musicians not listen to Peter?
Why is scene 5 mostly focused on the musicians?
What caused Capulet to suddenly be so nice to, and speaking about, Juliet?

Do We Wear White or Black?
Prompt A: It is the wedding day for Paris and Juliet. All of the Capulets begin anxiously preparing for the big wedding. The nurse goes to wake up Juliet and get her ready for her big day. However, she finds Juliet dead. She begins sobbing and Lady Capulet and Paris come to join her. The Friar starts preparing for the funeral.
Prompt E: I chose this picture because it is ironic and it sums up what has gone on in these scenes. This is a picture of a wedding at a graveyard. The Capulets were prepared for a wedding but instead got a funeral so they sort of brought the wedding to the funeral. Like in this picture, the wedding is at a funeral.

Prompt C: I choose this quote because i just love how funny the Nurse is she says, "Oh,weraday that ever I was born! Some aqua-vitae, ho! My Lord! My lady!", right after she finds out Juliet is dead. I love how she reacts by wanting brandy. She probably didn't mean it as celebrating but as a way of getting over this news. I just think it was funny.
Prompt E: I picked this picture because it relates to the whole thing about Juliet supposedly dying. This picture is pretty colorless and empty because i feel like in the end this is how Juliet felt since she couldn't trust the nurse anymore and certainly not her parents. I felt like Juliet shouldn't have done this she should have just ran away with Romeo when they got married.

Act 4 Scene 4-5
Act 4 Scene 4-5
Wedding or Funeral?
Prompt A: In scene 4 and 5 of Act 4, the Capulets are preparing for the wedding. It is morning time and several preparations are being made for the wedding between Juliet and Paris. The nurse goes to wake Juliet only to find her dead. She beings crying and soon Capulet and Lady Capulet enter. Paris arrives and they all are mourning. Friar Laurence pushes them to get started on the funeral process, and they agree. The guests are still coming in but they send the musicians home. Peter, a Capulet servant, asks the musicians to play a happy song to rid him of his sorrows. The musicians refuse, and Peter begins insulting them.
Prompt D: When Capulet finds Juliet dead, he shrieks,
"Ha? Let me see her. Out, alas! She’s cold.

"Ha? Let me see her. Out, alas! She’s cold.
Her blood is settled, and her joints are stiff.
Life and these lips have long been separated.
Death lies on her like an untimely frost
Upon the sweetest flower of all the field."
I like this excerpt, especially the last three lines. It's a really beautiful way to describe death. He's saying that Juliet was like a flower, killed by an untimely frost- too soon. I like 'life and these lips have long been separated' too.
Act 4 scenes 4-5
PROMPT A
During this chapter the household prepares for a wedding and then it turns to a funeral. Early on they are not aware that Juliet is "dead", and Lord Capulet is commanding servants around, telling them to "make haste". The nurse then discovers that she is "dead". The whole family fgrieves for Juliet, and the wedding turns into a funeral. The musicians realize that they will have no job and chose to leave , however Peter makes many rude jokes about them delaying their departure.
PROMPT E
I choose this picture , because it shows a being that does not look very alive. However the text seems to indicate otherwise. Juliet is the same in the sense that she appears dead but is alive.

PROMPT B
Romeo and Juilets separation reminds me of the Syrian refugee crisis. In the Syrian Refugee crisis familys(and lovers) have been torn apart by civil warl. The civil war is similar to the constant fighting of the Montagues and Capulet. The prince is similar to the U.N. in the sense that he tries to stop the fighting but does not achieve his goal often. His decree that anybody who fought on the streets again would be killed is similar to the U.N.'s chemical weapons stance in Syria. Friar Lawrence is similar to aid agency's , because he tries to help both Romeo and Juliet and provides a safe haven for both of them.
PROMPT C
- Would you have trusted the friar enough to drink his poison/potion?
- Do poison/potion like the one described in the play exist, and where they known about back then?
- What would your initial reaction as Friar Lawrence, been to Juliet threatening to killl herself been?
- Do you think that county Paris actually loves Juliet based on his reaction to her death?
- Had Juliet truly died do you think that Montague/Capulet relations would have improved?

Till (after) Death do us Part
Prompt C:
Why is Juliet resorting to suicide?
Why doesn't Juliet or Friar Laurence tell Romeo that it is a fake death?
What do they plan on doing after Juliet wakes up?
Why don't they just run away together rather than faking Juliet's death?
What if they bury her?
Prompt E:
I chose this picture because it shows the Capulets, Juliet's mother and father, finding her 'dead'. It shows what will happen after she drinks the potion in an attempt to fake her own death.

-What if something in the plan goes wrong?
-Who is delivering Friar's message to Romeo?

Prompt G: Romeo
I need to see my Juliet. It's only been a few days but it feels like a lifetime since I've seen my love! I miss her so much and want to hold her in my arms as soon as possible. I hope our plan follows through. Oh no! What would I do if it doesn't? I can't be away from my Juliet any longer, I would kill myself if I didn't have her.

I chose this image because it reminds me of the potion that Frair gave Juliet. This potion is ultimately the thing that results in Romeo and Juliet's death.
Act 4; scene 1-3: Fake death
Prompt B:
Most love story that I tend to see today are connected to Romeo and Juliet in that the teenagers usually fall in love and run away together. We can tell that Romeo and Juliet is a very famous story because many people want their stories to relate to it. For example, the movie warm bodies takes the concept of romeo and juliet and makes it's own story. Warm Bodies is about a zombie named "R" who falls in love with a human named "Julie". They cannot be together because they are obviously different just like how Juliet is a Capulet and how Romeo is a Montaque.
Prompt D:
"Or bid me go into a new-made grave,
And hide me with a dead man in his shroud -
Things that, to hear them told, have made me tremble -
And I will do it without fear or doubt,
To live an unstain'd wife to my sweet love."
And hide me with a dead man in his shroud -
Things that, to hear them told, have made me tremble -
And I will do it without fear or doubt,
To live an unstain'd wife to my sweet love."
I think that in this quote, Juliet says that she'll do anything for Romeo. Even if she risked actually killing herself, she would still do it. She has to be brave and be commited.
