Act IV scenes i-iii

Act IV scenes i-iii:  Is She Dead?
   Prompt A:
In scene 4 Paris enters Friar Lawrence's cell, and tells him that Juliet and him are to be married on a Thursday, 3 days after Romeo was banished.  Friar Lawrence tries to reason with Paris about the marriage, and wishes that he was unaware of why they should not marry.  Once Paris leaves, Juliet draws a knife, saying she would rather kill herself than marry Paris, so the Friar and Juliet come up with a plan.  The plan consists of her, the night before she is supposed to marry Paris, consuming a sleeping potion that would make her appear dead, so she will be layed in the Capulets tomb.  The Friar will send word to Romeo to help retrieve her when she wakes up. The Capulets are so happy, that they move the wedding a day up, but that night Juliet consumes the potion.  The parents mourn at their "lost daughter," and all wedding preparations turn to funeral preparations.

    Prompt D:
"Romeo, Romeo, Romeo! Here's drink. I drink to thee." This quote translates too, "Romeo, Romeo, Romeo! Here's a drink.  I drink too you."  I think this demonstrates Juliet's willingness too do anything for Romeo.  It shows how stubborn and how headstrong she is.  I believe this shows Juliets true love, and how dedicated she is.
