Act IV scene I-III

Prompt E:

This potion plays a very big role in the novel. The friar gives Juliet this potion so she can go into a sleep and everyone will think she's dead. She's doing this because otherwise she would have to marry Paris and she's already married to Romeo her true love. She cannot bear to tel her parents that she is in live with Romeo because this will break their hearts. She sees this option as her only answer.

Prompt F:
I think that the friar and Juliet have a very close bond as well as Romeo and the friar. The friar seems like he's the confidant of the village and acts as a go between. He just wants peace and for everyone to be happy while everyone else is fighting. He married the couple as a hopeful act of peace and he helped Romeo see Juliet when he was banned. The friar also arranged the fake death of Juliet as a way for the couple to be able to run away together.

Act II-scene I-VI

Prompt E: This picture represents the balcony scene in the very beginning of Act II. In this scene Romeo proclaims his love to Juliet and how he wants to marry her. She professes her love as well and tells him to come back later so that they can talk more.

 Prompt F:
The Nurse and Juliet have a really strong relationship the nurse seems to play a bigger maternal role than Juliet's mother. The Nurse is the one to tell Juliet that loving a Montague is bad even though the Nurse isn't a Capulet. Juliet consults the Nurse for relationship advice instead of her proper mother. The Nurse also excepts Juliet for loving Romeo even though shes upset about it at first.

Act I- scene IV-V

Prompt C:
What does Romeo's dream signify?
What room in the Capulet's house do they enter once they leave the ballroom?
Why does Tybalt get so mad when Romeo is intrigued by Juliet?
Why isn't the nurse mad about Juliet and Romeo's love?
Why does the nurse help with the secret love?

Prompt D:
Act I scene: IV
page. 45
"Romeo: In bed asleep while they do dream things true." This is the part when Romeo explains his dream to Mercutio. I really like this conversation it takes something like dreaming and shows how dense they can be. Before Romeo says this line Mercutio had said that dreamers often lie. Romeo's witty response shows for his belief in his dream and how true it was.

Act I scene I-III

Prompt A: The Montagues and the Capulets get into a street fight. The fight is broken up by the ruler of Verona, who then threatens them with death if they fight again. Romeo talks about how heart broken he is about Rosaline not loving him back to his cousin Benvolio. Paris wants to marry Juliet and declares this to her parents who then invite him to their party. The servant to whom is given the guest list can't read it so he asks Romeo and his cousin to help. Romeo reads it and realizes that Rosaline is on it so he decides to go to the party. Romeo wants to Rosaline there and Benvolio thinks it will be a good oportunity for Romeo to find other love. Juliet's mother tells her about Paris' marriage proposal. Juliet then says that she doesn't want to get married but if she ever would she would consider him.

Prompt B:
The relationship that Benvolio and Romeo have remind me of my best friend and I. They are cousins that try to help each other out and care deeply for one another. When Romeo wants to go the party just to see Rosaline, Benvolio respects and supports him. Even though its not the best way to get over a girl. Romeo should go to the party and see that she truly doesn't love him back. Benvolio wants to go to, so that Romeo can find someone else to love and helps him go. Which is exactly what a true best friend would do.
