Act III scenes III-V
Prompt A:
The friar tells Romeo that he is banished from Verona but Romeo would rather die than to be banished from Juliet. Romeo then attempts suicide, so the friar out of pity lets him spend the night with Juliet but that Romeo has to leave in the morning. The friar reassures him and says that he will get news of Verona. he also says that he thinks that over time the Prince may let him return. Paris asks Juliet's father if he can marry Juliet her father says that she will marry him in three days. Right when Romeo leaves in the morning Juliet's mom comes into her room and tells her that she has to marry Paris. She doesn't want to and her father says that he will kick her out if she doesn't marry him. The Nurse wants Juliet to just forget Romeo and marry Paris, Juliet is rellay mad and goes to see the friar.
Prompt C:
Romeo: Why did you try and commit suicide before talking to Juliet about it?
Friar Lawrence: Why do you think the prince will change his mind?
Lady Capulet: Why do you like Paris so much, and why do you want Juliet to marry him and so soon?
Juliet's father: Why did you suddenly change and now want to oblige Juliet to marry Paris?
Nurse: Have you lost your hope for Romeo and Juliet?
