Two families the Montagues and the Capulets fight in the streets. Count Paris talks with Capulet and decides that he wants to marry Capulets daughter, Juilet. Capulet gives a guest list for a party to a servant. Because the servant cannot read it he gives it to Romeo. Romeo decides that he also wants to go to the party. Lady Capulet tells Juliet that Count Paris wants to marry him.
